Minecraft Font Generator

Preview pixel-style chat or server-message text, apply color codes, and copy a format supported by your command or plugin. You can also save the browser preview as a PNG.

Input accepts legacy & or § color/style codes. RGB, MiniMessage and JSON are output formats, not input syntax.

Presets

Presets store text, colors, font and output settings, not uploaded textures. Import replaces the collection only if every preset is valid; an invalid file changes nothing.

Server Update New season starts Friday 8PM!

PNG uses this browser font and explicit line breaks, not automatic wrapping. Obfuscated text is only approximated; it is not the game’s animated effect.

Output format

For destinations that accept § codes. Gradients are reduced to the nearest of the 16 legacy colors; not a complete command.

Preview text, then choose the output you need

Type a message and inspect it in a pixel-style or clean browser preview. Add legacy color and style codes, try a gradient, or start from an editable server notice template. The output panel can provide § codes, & codes, RGB codes, MiniMessage, JSON, or plain text.

Text support differs between Minecraft editions, commands, and server plugins. Choose the format accepted by your destination and test it there; the browser preview is a design aid, not a guarantee of identical in-game rendering. You can also export the preview as a PNG for graphics outside the game.

Text styling with a live browser preview

See how your text, colors, and styles look while editing. Switch between pixel and clean display modes, then check the chosen output syntax before using it in a game command or plugin.

Color and style controls

Enter legacy & or § codes, or use the controls for color, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and obfuscated text. Add reset codes when you want later words to return to their normal style.

Multi-format output for real use

Choose legacy § or & codes, RGB variants, MiniMessage, JSON, or plain text. These are different syntaxes, not universally interchangeable formats; use the one accepted by your target command or plugin.

Editable starter messages

Start from the included server update, event notice, or welcome message. Change the words and codes before copying the result; each example is a starting point, not a ready-made in-game title command.
Abstract overlapping text cards

Copy the selected output

After choosing a format, copy the generated text from the output panel. Check that the destination accepts that syntax before pasting it into a command, configuration, or compatible plugin.
Abstract colored text lines

Pixel and clean preview modes

Use the pixel-style preview for a game-inspired look or the clean mode to read longer messages while editing. These display modes change the browser preview, not Minecraft's installed font.

Optional color gradients

Add color stops and apply a gradient by character or word. Inspect the resulting output carefully, because gradient syntax and RGB support depend on the destination.

Save and reuse your own presets

Save an edited design locally, then load it later or export your saved presets as JSON. Import is available when you want to restore a preset collection in this browser.

Save a text preview as an image

Export a PNG of the styled browser preview for a graphic, guide, or announcement image. The PNG is an image file; it does not change text rendering inside Minecraft.

Check compatibility before publishing

Use a reset code when later text should lose earlier formatting. Java, Bedrock, and third-party plugins can interpret codes differently, so test the copied output in its actual destination before sharing it.

FAQ

FAQ

Answers about output formats, plugin compatibility, and in-game testing.

Do I need to know text commands to use the preview?
No. You can type text, apply a color or style, and inspect the browser preview. To use the result in-game, choose an output format your command or plugin supports. Start with a short line so you can see where each format code takes effect. For example, &aHello applies a legacy color, while a later &r resets the styling. If those characters appear literally in your destination, check its accepted syntax before trying another color. The same message can need different output formats in a chat plugin and a text-component field.
Does this create a complete Minecraft title command?
No. It formats text and can provide JSON output, but it does not build a complete /title command. Use the copied text in a compatible command or plugin. Prepare the formatted message separately from the command that displays it. Copy JSON only into a destination that accepts text components; plain text and JSON are different outputs. Select the target and title mode in your command builder rather than adding them to this preview. A saved PNG is for a website or announcement graphic, not a command payload.
Can I use the output with a server plugin?
Only if that plugin accepts the format you choose. Some use & codes, some use MiniMessage or JSON, and others have their own syntax. Check the plugin documentation and test the result. Try a short message in a test destination before pasting a long announcement. If the codes are visible rather than applied, the format may be wrong for that field. Save a local preset once you have a working design, and export the preset JSON if you need a backup or want to move it to another browser.
Will every color and style work on Bedrock?
No guarantee. Java and Bedrock support different text features, and plugins may add their own rules. The browser preview does not verify compatibility; test the selected output in your target edition.
Does the browser preview exactly match the game?
No. It helps you design readable text, but Minecraft or a plugin may render fonts, colors, and effects differently. Use an in-game check for the final result.
